Parents Tent

The place to be during move-in weekend 

Every year, Parents Tent welcomes thousands of parents, guardians, and incoming students from around the world to McGill’s campus to kick off the university experience. 

Parents Tent provides an opportunity for new students and their parents to get answers to pressing questions, learn about campus services, and connect with other McGill families.

What to expect at Parents Tent

  • Guided campus tours 
  • A Saturday night Welcome reception
  • Booths for our on-campus resources, including “Student Services” and "Financial Services"
  • FREE in-person and online information sessions and events, like our acclaimed “Money Matters” session
  • Swag, networking and more!

To VIEW the full schedule of Parents Tent activities, simply register using the Parents’ Information Form. A schedule will appear with the list of activities. Be sure to RSVP for the events(s) you and your student would like to participate in.
