You’ve got two options: you can request your McGill credentials or connect through social login.

What does it mean to log in through social media?

If you choose to log in through social media, then you can log in to the McGill Alumni Directory using the username and password from one of your social media accounts.

Our social login feature currently allows you to connect to the Directory with your Facebook, Twitter or Google username and password. It is designed to simplify the login process, and to reduce the amount of usernames and passwords you need to remember.

What are the benefits of connecting to the Directory via social login?

The Directory’s social login feature is a convenient way for alumni who do not remember their McGill username and password to connect to the Directory.

If you’d like to take advantage of this feature, you’ll need to complete a verification form to connect your social media with the Directory. Once that’s done, you’ll be able to connect to the Directory with the click of a button: no need to remember additional passwords or usernames.

If I connect to the Directory via social media, will my directory activity be shared on the social media platform that I connected with?

No, your directory activity will not be displayed on social media.

When I connect to the Directory via social media, what data will be shared?

When you sign in using social media login for the first time, the social media platform that you choose will display the profile data that will be collected. This feature is a social media platform member-to-member feature only and McGill University does not use or collect such profile data (except your username). Certain functionalities of this website are provided by imodules.com and are governed by the Privacy Policy of this company.

I was in the process of setting up my social login, and forgot my temporary username and password. What can I do?

No problem! Simply return to the Confirm your identity page and restart the process.

Please note: Your temporary username and password will expire after 24 hours. If you don’t complete the process of logging in through social media within that timeframe you will need to restart the verification process.

The McGill Alumni Directory’s customized search allows you to search for McGill alumni by faculty, by year of graduation, by location or by industry. You can easily filter by single or multiple characteristics.

For example, you can do a simple search for all McGill alumni in Toronto, or you can find all alumni in New York City who graduate from your faculty in 1979.
