McGill Black Alumni Association

The McGill Black Alumni Association (MBAA) is a community for present and future black McGill alumni to connect, communicate, and enrich their professional and personal lives.

Through development, mentorship, and community service programs, our goal is to create a strong and supportive, international society to help all black alumni embrace the challenges and triumphs that we face after leaving McGill.

Stay connected. Keep your contact information up-to-date and ensure that you receive McGill news and event invitations for your region. You can also join our LinkedIn page where you will be able to connect with our members across the globe.

Attend an upcoming event. We organize networking events, happy hours, and speaker panels. We provide mentorship opportunities and practical advice for careers and other issues around navigating the workplace. It is our intent, that through this organization, a strong and supportive society of black McGill alumni continue to exist to enrich the alumni experience for every graduating class, and to create a space for students and alumni to discuss and address pertinent issues.

Join the McGill Alumni Africa Network. If you have ties to Africa and would like to help African students and graduates succeed, the McGill Alumni Africa Network is for you. Get involved by attending events, offering an internship, supporting entrepreneurs, or signing up for our mentorship program.

Become an MBAA mentor or mentee. This exciting initiative provides an exclusive mentorship opportunity for established Black alumni, as well as Black faculty and staff members at McGill, who wish to guide and inspire Black students and young alumni as they embark on their professional journey.

Volunteer with the MBAA. As a young organization we are looking to grow our team and membership. Get in touch with us! We have a lot of ideas and will always find a way for you to get involved whether it be through leadership, sponsorship, or event coordination.
